Do you like to con dumb bastards, a.k.a. social engineering? Do you like
money? Do you hate child molesters and kiddie porn dealers?


If you answered "hell yeah," "yup," "I guess," or anything else of a
positive nature to those three questions, then continue to read this
article for a plausible but, as of yet, untested scheme.


I was in my local US Post Office to ship some cd's to a friend. It was
Friday at five and lines were incredibly long. So, naturally I read every
single scrap of paper around...anything to stave off boredom. I came
across a sheet listing federal crimes and the rewards one can attain 
by being a stool pigeon. 


If you inform the Office or Postal Inspector of somebody
sending drugs via mail, you can earn up to $50,000. Bombs = $100,000.


There were a lot of acts on the list, but the one that caught my eye was Child
Pornography, up to $50,000 reward. While on IRC I've had people approach
me with child pornography offers. Of course I reported the people to their
ISPs...that might have been lame of me...but people who exploit children
deserve much worse.


Anyway, driving home I almost ran out of gas. I stopped to put a whole
$2.00 in my tank. That was all the money I had. Necessity breeds
invention. I started to think about these child victimizers and about 
how I need a new source of income. 


Well, I edit my IRC logs and delete anything incriminating; I'm sure 
these perverts either do the same or don't keep logs. Hmm. Why couldn't 
someone convince a foolish pervert to send him a CD or video or magazine 
with child pornography? 

Hmm, then of course the recipient calls up his local post office and 
describes the incident. There should be no evidence that you 
'convinced' the pervious to send you the media.


You could make up some little story, or the truth would probably be
okay...civilians aren't bound by the entrapment clause. Anyway, that could
be some quick money. 


Or you could get a child pornographer to send the
media to an enemy. Then turn them both in. Willfully receiving pornography
is also worth up to 50k. Of course your enemy would deny that he had any
knowledge of it, but...say you called up the newspaper and anonymously
reported the story...his reputation would be marred for a long, long time.


You're not going to get 50k, just for a single event unless the person who
sends it is a huge dealer (which you wouldn't know). However, you should
get some money simply for turning in a dirty child exploiter.


Of course I don't recommend that you do any of this...it's just an idea.
